We want to show the emotion HAPPY!When you think of that word, you think about laughter, friends having fun messing about, people smiling, and generally just making fools of yourself and having a laugh whilst dancing stupidly about.
We mainly got our idea from watching nicklebacks - Rockstar video, where various different people sing along to his song in many different locations. This is why we chose to do our filming in different locations such as school, park, fields, at desks. In 'Rockstar' many people sing whilst in the same position which is why throughout the short film we want different people to be doing the same sort of thing (eg. same dance moves, star jumping in the air, singing to the camera) but in many different settings. Also when watching Elvis's video - A little less conversation, all the people are dancing about and doing there own sort of thing and wearing various different things. We wanted our props and costumes to be that of the persons own style.
To get the different surroundings and age differences we want to use teachers in their classrooms in shirts and ties, or at desks (somewhere you can establish authority) and to use own props to styalise the clip to their fun HAPPY personality (such as a science teacher singing into a Bunsen burner). Also to get people singing in different locations we want some to be in their school uniform and then other people involved to be in their own clothes. We do want people to try and wear bright and vibrant colours such as green, blue, yellow ect. to get the sense of colour and happiness and boldness.
We don't really want to have any set actors but to use a variety of people of all different ages like in Nicklebacks video. We do though know that we definitely want to use students and pupils in the video as we are trying to show the emotion HAPPY, and when you see people you know or are friends with it brings a smile to your face and possible even laughter. The point is that we are showing HAPPY and whilst as an audience watching it we are actually making them HAPPY too!
